As a bonus: Here the commentary that I used during the announcements when presenting this opportunity to the congregation:

“My people parish from lack of knowledge.”

We have all heard the biblical phrase, but do we really know what it means?
Substitute the word die for parish and my people die from lack of knowledge.

My personal interpretation of this is the fact that we frequently inhibit our own growth potential when we aren’t seeking out and participating in opportunities to learn, to grow, and to ultimately succeed.

If you’ll join on the 1^st Saturday of each month until April 1^st, we’ll work together to change that.
