It was but a few weeks ago that I sent the last of my edits to Ramona Jones so that they may be incorporated into her final product. It was mere days before that when she and I first discussed her need for reviewers.
Now, today–just hours ago–I saw my name listed next to my friend’s name on her published book!!!
You can’t know the feeling of joy that it brought me to see such a thing! I was OVERjoyed!!! I screamed! (I cursed! Eek!) and I hugged my tablet in that moment because it was in that moment, that precious moment, that I became famous!
Ramona Jones is a good friend of mine whom I have known since grade school—yes, grade school–which would make us lifelong friends! 🙂 She’s an awesome friend! Wonderful! Witty! And her listening skills are scary! Sometimes, I wonder if she’s even listening because when she listens (while I ramble), she doesn’t talk… UNHEARD OF!!! The best thing about this is what comes out of her mouth once she has completed processing–I love the way she thinks! Her handle of the English language is exciting for a fellow writer, and her poetry is effortlessly pleasing to both writers and readers alike!

Recently, Ramona and I shared an activity together where we were tasked with writing a love letter to ourselves. We found ourselves doing this during the time Ramona would have been composing Love Letters, and guess who had the darnedest time penning a love letter to herself? Yup! You Guessed it! Ramona!!!
