Twitter feature lets you DM those not following you.

How many times have you attempted to send a direct message to someone, only to receive a message saying “this user is not following you”? I have had to jump through some pretty big hoops to get the attention of the person I was trying to reach, especially if they have thousands of followers.

No more. Twitter now allows you to DM those not following you, but it only works if there privacy settings are set up to do so. This change will benefit anyone who uses Twitter for customer service.
