Here is a sample event proposal that I drafted after being asked to photograph a college graduation.

A former colleague from University of Phoenix became employed by Everest College. She also happened to be a photography client of mine, so when her employer needed a photographer… guess who she called? ME! (Note how these things work. This is why EXCELLENT customer service is SOOOO important!!! TIP: Be PERSONABLE!!!)

Prior to requesting my services, they brought me in for a very formal meeting at their campus where I met with their administration while we negotiated terms.

Here is my follow up email:

Good Morning!!!

Thank you again for considering my services for your event! It is an extreme honor to be asked to cover such a monumental occasion for your school as well for the students!!!

I have been in contact with my partner, and we are available for the graduation. We are ironing out  pricing specifics to see if we can work out a feasible quote for you.
